SOL|REQ
Claire Frances & Phil Couper • Durational Virtual Installation
durational works will be available throughout the stream
A project between two friends separated by a pandemic and the Bass strait, SOL|REQ from its initial creation has always been a meeting place. This virtual 3D exhibition encapsulates two separate works, ‘Solstice’ by mix media artist, Claire Frances and ‘Requiem’ by sound artist, Phillip Couper.
Each work serves as a call and response to the next as they link themselves thematically to the idea of grief and loss as a passage to rebirth. Celebrating creation, rest, reflection and self acceptance, they acknowledge the ability of art and music to hold space for anyone who needs it. |

CLOMB
Pony Cam - Durational
durational works will be available throughout the stream
Six theatre-makers have been stuck in their homes. Attending Zoom calls, coping with lagging screens and patiently sitting for hours on end. As time trickles by, they remain in a state of uncertainty. Behind the camera, their bodies have been tensely waiting. Waiting to move, touch, rage and exhaust itself. Soon they will meet in person, and it should be a pleasant celebration. But nothing is certain.
‘CLOMB’ is Pony Cam’s multi-hour performance. A celebratory reunion. A rediscovery of the theatre, the theatrical, and of each other. Inspired by the frenetic kinetics of Gaspar Noé’s Climax, bedroom raves, our insatiable sense of play and the possibility of a cash prize. |

BIRD
Katrina Rank - Performance
Bird, crow, blue bird, old bird. Sylph, swan, ghostly lover. Bird considers harsh truths and
calls out acts of hiding. Bird challenges the dominant dancer stereotype. It presents an older dancer on screen and in the flesh. The screen persona is shown in an abundance of feathers, a picture of opulence and privilege. The costume, containing thousands of recycled shopping bags, obscures her body, hides its imperfections, eliminates the wrinkles and skin folds that are so unsightly. Bird is a solo performance work, choreographed and performed by Katrina Rank. |
